Last Monday was a big night for Roman Reigns. He defeated The Miz in the main event of Raw to win the Intercontinental Championship for the first time in his career, and he became a Grand Slam Champion in the process.
Winning the title is a pretty big deal for Roman Reigns’ career, and it looks like he plans to be a fighting champion.
After Raw was over, Roman spoke during a backstage interview and he teased that he will be holding an open challenge for the Intercontinental Championship.
Whether or not the open challenge will be taking place on Raw this week remains to be seen, but it looks like at least one challenger is already lining up to take on The Big Dog.
205 Live star Cedric Alexander took to Twitter to talk about the challenge, and he pondered whether or not cruiserweights will be able to participate.
All I heard was “open challenge”.
Does that include Cruiserweights?
Just a thought……..🤔 @WWE @WWERomanReigns https://t.co/jKwZKb161V

As we’ve seen in the past with John Cena’s weekly US Open Challenge, the concept can create some exciting moments on Monday Night Raw, so we’ll just have to wait and see what Roman Reigns can do with it.
Who do you think Roman’s first challenger should be? Sound off in the comments below.
