205 live

SmackDown Live isn’t the only land of opportunity in sports entertainment as WWE altogether is often an amazing launching pad to shoot a superstar past the usual role of pro wrestler. We’ve seen stars break out in the mainstream in the past like The Rock, John Cena, and Batista. Now another WWE Superstar is looking to take a leap into the waters of Hollywood and it’s for a very good reason.

Mustafa Ali is one of 205 Live’s brightest talents. The 31-year-old Illinois native is very proud of his Pakistani heritage but he doesn’t let it define him. But if Hollywood would come knocking at his door it’d be hard for him to turn down an offer. Especially if he is offered his dream role.

As it turns out Disney is casting for a live-action Aladdin film and Ali is a fan of the story to say the least. Mustafa and his wife recently saw the play on a date night and Ali remarked that the tale of Aladdin was actually a retelling of his own love story with his wife.

So naturally Mustafa Ali feels a certain kinship with the Aladdin character. We’re not saying he was a street rat and his wife was the Sultan’s daughter before they met because he kind of said it himself.

Therefore when Mustafa Ali saw that Disney was still having trouble finding the perfect person to cast as Aladdin, he was right one it. His tweet was a simple “ahem” but the context meant he was certainly game to jump off a building while the Sultan’s guards chased him through the streets with a monkey on his shoulder and a loaf of stolen bread in his hands.

If they did cast Mustafa Ali as everyone’s favorite Disney street rat it certainly wouldn’t be the worst casting decision ever. So let’s try and get #AliForAladdin started on Twitter and see if Disney will give Ali a shot at a whole new world.
