You never know where the road can take your favorite WWE Superstar. On 205 Live this week one popular babyface stopped grinning for the crowd and took on a much more brutal persona.
Gentleman Jack Gallagher might be a happy newlywed, but he recently decided it was time to switch up his on-screen character.
Jack Gallagher has been feuding with The Brian Kendrick recently and the two have had a couple brutal encounters. A lot of people put Gallagher over as the babyface in this rivalry and naturally booed Kendrick. But all that changed this week on 205 Live.
During Brian Kendrick’s match with Cedric Alexander, Jack Gallagher ran down and most people thought he would attack the heel. After all, they’ve been at each other’s throats in recent weeks. But instead, Gentleman Jack Gallagher started attacking Cedric Alexander.
Jack performed a pretty brutal beatdown and had no smile on his face while doing so either. You could see a different attitude in the Gentleman, not only that but his trusty umbrella William III was nowhere in sight.
After the beatdown was over, Jack Gallagher turned his attention to The Brian Kendrick. But instead of applying a gentlemanly dose of pain to the pro wrestling veteran, he extended his hand for Kendrick to shake.
The two shook hands in the middle of the ring to insinuate some kind of bond had been formed. While it might be a bit confusing at this point, one thing that’s probably not up for debate is the fact that Gentleman Jack Gallagher is not that much of a gentleman anymore.
But even The Brian Kendrick seemed a bit surprised by Gallagher’s actions. We’ll have to see how this one plays out. But for now it looks like there’s a new heel on 205 Live and he’s very gentlemanly.
