As wrestling fans we’ve been lucky enough to see many great moments that feature wrestlers in commercials. Pro wrestlers don’t naturally blend in with the rest of the world which is usually the appeal when it comes to putting them in ads.
These commercials may be advertising different things but they all have one thing in common, they’re funny. We rounded up our favorite appearances by wrestlers in commercials and although the list may be numbered they aren’t meant to appear in any particular order because they’re all equally as good.
Check out the list below.
#15 – King Kong Bundy/Kevin Nash/Shawn Michaels/The Undertaker/Paul Bearer
When it comes to wrestlers in commercials, this one has an all star cast. Some of the biggest stars the WWE had to offer back in the day invade ESPN with hilarious results.
#14 – Booker T
Everybody gets hungry, especially professional wrestlers. There’s nothing better than a nice hot meal after a long day of work. According to this commercial, when dinner time comes around Booker T prefers Hungry-Man frozen dinners.
#13 – Big Show
Being a giant is never easy and it can cause quite a few problems in the real world. The Big Show may have a tough time fitting in, but thanks to Chef Boyardee he never has a tough time satisfying his hunger.
#12 – Rob Van Dam
Rob Van Dam has never been all that much of a talker so it’s understandable that he doesn’t say much in this commercial. Still, there’s something about the combination of Rob Van Dam and 7-11 that just feels right.
#11 – Kelly Kelly/John Cena/Kofi Kingston
WWE hit a home run when it comes to this commercial for Smackdown Vs. Raw 2011. As far as wrestlers in commercials go, this one has appearances from John Cena, Kofi Kingston and a look at Kelly Kelly that you may never forget.
#10 – Ric Flair
There’s really not much to say about this one other than it truly is EPIC. Wooooooooooooo!
#9 – Kurt Angle
When it comes to cheesy commercials from the 90s this one could write the book on how to do them right. Pizza is tasty but it tastes even better when it moves.
#8 – Chris Jericho
Chris Jericho does a public service in this commercial by trying to help people cure the munchies. In this commercial he teams up with Taco Bell to address a serious issue.
#7 – Bret Hart
Bret Hart has been identified as the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be. Apparently that moniker applies to making omelettes as well.
#6 – Hulk Hogan And Sgt. Slaughter
This Radio Shack commercial was all the rage a few years ago and one of the highlights out of all the ads the Super Bowl had to offer. This commercial has appearances from many big stars of the 80s and as far as wrestlers in commercials go, Hulk Hogan and Sgt. Slaughter are two of the biggest wrestling stars the 80s had to offer.
#5 – Edge
Randy Savage’s name will always be synonymous with Slim Jims but eventually someone else had to take over. Eventually Slim Jim found the perfect replacement for the Macho Man when they started putting Edge in their commercials.
#4 – Sting
Sting makes one of the best appearances of any wrestler in a commercial ever in this ad for Sprite. Let’s get real here, who wouldn’t let their kid wrestle Sting in the living room if he showed up at your front door?
#3 – Stone Cold
We’re not sure what Stone Cold Steve Austin is studying for, most likely he’s looking for the best way to open up a can of whoop-ass. This commercial teaches us the valuable lesson that nothing helps you concentrate like a steel chair shot to the back.
#2 – Randy Savage
When it comes to Slim Jim commercials no one does it better than the late great Randy Savage. He had many great appearances in these ads and it’s hard to pick just one. However, there’s no denying that this is one of the best.
#1 – Hulk Hogan
Hulk Hogan set the world on fire with this commercial for his hosting company Hostamania. In this epic ad he spoofs Miley Cyrus’ video for the song “Wrecking Ball.” He may not have the same appeal that Miley Cyrus does but he gets his point across.
