10 Catchiest WWE Entrance Themes From The Attitude Era

The Attitude Era was a fun time to be a professional wrestling fan. The era was full of epic storylines, awesome matches and catchy entrance themes. When it comes to awesome entrance themes the Attitude Era spawned quite a few of them. Steve Austin, DX and Vince McMahon’s entrance themes have all become iconic because they were the soundtrack to an era. Many of them have been able to stand the test of time and many of them are probably still stuck in your head to this day. Here are the 10 catchiest WWE entrance themes from the Attitude Era.

#10 – Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle was already an Olympic gold medalist by the time he arrived in WWE so he needed an entrance theme fit for an American hero. This song did him justice but of course the crowd eventually started using Angle’s entrance theme against him when they took it upon themselves to add “You suck!” chants to the song. Now the “You suck!” chants are synonymous with Angle’s entrance theme and we’re all longing for the day when he returns to WWE so that we can lovingly tell him he sucks once again.

#9 – Raw Is War

Raw has had a lot of theme songs over the years but few have managed to match the power and awesomeness of the old Raw is War theme. This song wasn’t a traditional entrance theme in the sense that it introduced a WWE Superstar, but it was more like an alarm clock that went off every Monday night to let you know that sh*t was about to get real. It would be wrong to create any sort of list which talks about music from the Attitude Era and not include this song.

#8 – Val Venis

“Hello Ladies” was just one of those songs that you couldn’t stop from getting stuck in your head. Val Venis was WWE’s resident porn star and he nailed a lot of beautiful women back in the day according to WWE’s storylines. WWE also happened to nail it with his entrance music because it proved to be a perfect fit for the Big Valbowski.

#7 – New Age Outlaws

“Oh you didn’t know? Your ass better call somebody.”

You knew whenever you heard those words that business was about to pick up. The New Age Outlaws had an awesome run during the Attitude Era and one of the things that helped get the fans behind them was their awesome entrance theme. The Outlaws’ schtick was always fun to sing-along to and the music that accompanied it was as catchy as it gets.

#6 – Triple H

Triple H put the roster on notice when he started using his “My Time” entrance theme. He started using this entrance song just as he began to ascend to the top of the WWE and he was crushing his opponents left and right. Triple H has had some great theme songs over the years and this one is just as good as “The Game” and “King of Kings.”

If you played WWF No Mercy back in the day there’s probably a pretty good chance that you used this song as the entrance theme for at least one of your created wrestlers. You did didn’t you? I knew it.

#5 – Mick Foley

Mick Foley has had some pretty awesome entrance themes over the years and he used quite a few of them during the Attitude Era. Mick had separate themes for Mankind, Cactus Jack and Dude Love and luckily for him they were all great themes. It’s tough to decide just which one of Mick’s songs is the catchiest, but the edge goes to the track above because it’s the one that he still uses to this day.

#4 – Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon’s entrance song is arrogance personified and you can actually feel Mr McMahon’s arrogance in every single note. Perhaps that’s what makes it so damn good. There’s a reason why Vince McMahon hasn’t changed his theme song and that’s because it’s perfect the way it is.

#3 – The Rock

If you’re going to call yourself The Great One you need a great entrance song and The Rock got lucky with this one. The Rock is an inspirational guy so it’s fitting that he has such an inspirational entrance theme. This song is always a great go to song for when you need something to pump you up. Legend has it that if you play The Rock’s entrance theme backwards you can actually hear him giving a motivational speech.

#2 – DX

If you’re an OG as the kids say in the hood, you’re probably still busting out the DX crotch chop on a regular basis. D-Generation X were the bad boys of the Attitude Era and their entrance song is a straight up classic. There’s just never a wrong time to break it down.

#1 – Steve Austin

Is there really anything else that belongs at number 1? If you grew up during the Attitude Era there’s a good chance that this song will be playing in your head every single time you hear the sound of broken glass until you can’t hear sound anymore. Austin’s music is iconic and it was an anthem for an era. Although Austin may be retired from the ring, his entrance music is still kicking ass and hitting sonic Stone Cold Stunners on the ears of wrestling fans everywhere. And that’s the bottom line because…you know why.
