The second night of the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament kicks off with another packed house that is debatably even more excited than they were last night. Pete Dunne got a great highlight in the opening segment due to his exploits at the conclusion of last night’s round one of the tournament.

Before we get started I wanted to point out how amazing Nigel McGuiness was during this tournament. He is clever, knowledgeable, and exudes a real legitimacy to the commentary booth.

Andy Shepard gave the crowd time to get “one fall” chant in after he said it this time…the grin on his face was eviden. The first quarterfinal match of the night featured Pete Dunne and Sam Gradwell and Dunne came out with some really respectful heat.

Dunne started the match out by trying to get a handshake from the man he cheapshotted of yesterday, that was a nice touch. Gradwell rocked Dunne with a great right-hand but Dunne followed it up with a clothesline. Dunne made his way outside of the ring and Bradwell executed a stellar looking suicide dive successfully. You can tell that these two competitors know each other very well.

Bradwell hit a high missile drop kick off the top rope when they made it back into the ring but done kicked him in the face before a pin to be attempted. Dunne follows it up with a snap German suplex but Bradwell would return with a Michinoku driver.

Dunne placed Bradwell on the top rope and simply shoved him off, sending him tumbling to the floor outside. Bradwell barley made it back to the ring before the 10 count.

Once he is able to crawl back inside, Dunne hits Bradwell with an upside down power slam and gets the pin for the win. Dunne advances in the tournament with a very hard fought match against an incredibly worthy competitor. Dunne topped it off by executing a Bitter End on Bradwell after the match while the crowd chanted “bruiserweight” to cheer him on.
