CM Punk made his UFC debut on Saturday night, and after almost two years of hype Punk tapped out to Mickey Gall after 2 minutes and 14 seconds in the first round.

Although Punk didn’t last very long in the octagon, he’s still getting a lot of props from people for having the guts to even step up and fight in the first place.

CM Punk parted ways with WWE in January of 2014, but he still has many supporters in the wrestling community. After his loss stars such as Mick Foley, Alberto Del Rio, The Bella Twins, Hulk Hogan and more took to Twitter to praise Punk for being brave enough to step into the octagon.

UFC star Conor McGregor has talked quite a bit of trash about WWE stars recently, but he gave Punk props for fighting in the UFC despite his loss. TMZ caught up with McGregor and asked him about the fight and McGregor said the following:

“Fair play to him, because he got in there and fought, and not a lot of people do. Not a lot of people have the balls to make that walk, so fair play. He got his ass whooped, God bless, he got his ass whooped. Those WWE guys are straight p***ies, I told ya so, but he isn’t, he got in and fought, so fair play to him, respect.”
