Let’s see how WWE’s Blue Team is going to recuperate after Hell In A Cell, it was two weeks ago but the ramifications are still felt. A lot of things went down and pieces need to be moved around.

Opening Segment

Daniel Bryan came out to receive an amazing ovation from the Seattle crowd. It was really something special and there were plenty of “yes” chants before Bryan said, “it’s great to be home.”

Bryan ran down the events to come in the night and then he mentioned Sami Zayn. Then Sami Zayn came down and his music really doesn’t fit his new demeanor but he was having a lot of fun playing a heel.

Zayn said he took ownership of his career back when he turned heel at Hell In A Cell. Zayn said him and D-Bry have a lot in common “we’re both gifted performers — at least I still am”… that was a sick burn from Zayn which got some boos.

Sami said he didn’t care what the fans think anymore and it feels amazing. “Sami sucks” chants broke out. Zayn said he used to want to be like Daniel Bryan but now he’s the last person he’d ever want to be like. He said Bryan was a housewife now and then Kevin Owens’ music broke out.

Kevin came down just to add on more insults toward Daniel Bryan. Owens called Bryan a hypocrite. Bryan said Kev never cared about Sami and never has. Bryan said he does what’s best for the fans and Owens corrected him by saying he meant to say best for business… then he called Daniel Bryan “the authority.”

Sami Zayn called D-Bry a sellout and that one seemed to sting. Then Daniel Bryan left and Kevin said walking about of “this arena” is the best thing he’s got nowadays. Then Bryan said he’s going to go find a couple of dudes to punch them in the face. God, I wish he could do it himself.

Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Naomi vs Natalya, Lana, and Tamina

The heels took were very hated which is their job. Lana was actually impressive the amount she was able to wrestle. Charlotte ended up getting the hot tag and chopped Lana into oblivion.

Flair tried to lock in the Figure 8 but Nattie interrupted that. Becky his a Becksploder Suplex on Lana and Naomi hit a cross body off the top on Tamina. Finally, Charlotte locked on the Figure 8 and the babyfaces won.

Winners: Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Naomi via pinfall

After the match, Nattie grabbed Charlotte and pulled her out of the ring. Natalya went for a chair but got kicked by Flair. Then Charlotte grabbed the chair and ran after Nattie but she exited through the crowd.

Daniel Bryan approached Kevin and Sami backstage and said he’s had many people tell him they wanted to punch Owens and Zayn in the face. But Bryan booked a match against Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura.

Pulp Fashion was worth the wait

Breeze and Dango made plenty of references to Pulp Fiction and The Ascension was along for the ride. When Breeze faked a pickle allergy and acted out Uma Thurman’s heroin overdose (while dressed like Thurman from the movie) Konnor and Viktor said they’d help only if Breezango would be their friends. Then they handed Dango a giant syringe. But Breeze woke up and said the bun on the sandwich was just awful. Konnor and Viktor said it was gluten free and Dango said they loved gluten.

The Ascension just wanted some best friends and I just want more of The Fashion Files.

Baron Corbin vs Sin Cara

Corbin grabbed the mic during the introductions and asked the crowd if the crowd wanted him to turn this match into a United Stated Open Challenge match… they cheered… “too bad” Corbin replied. Then he closed the US Open Challenge for good.

Sin Cara got way more offense than I would have expected including a suicide dive onto Corbin. Then Sin Cara climbed to the top turnbuckle and hit a dive on Corbin on the floor as the referee counted on and he finally got to ten and rang the bell.

Winner: Sin Cara via Count Out

The Usos were interviewed backstage where they said it felt like Christmas, their birthday, and all that because they have the tag team division on lockdown. Then Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable walked up and said they feel good too. In fact, they felt like they were going to be the SmackDown Tag Team Champions.

They played another Bludgeon Brothers promo but this time they were in the woods. It was done really well and looked great. “The darkness of destruction always prevails over the futility of light. Where we go annihilation follows.” Then they said their names and destroyed something with those huge hammers.

Jinder Mahal’s Survivor Series Announcement

It would have been very surprising if Mahal did anything but challenge Brock Lesnar for a match at Survivor Series. After all, the news broke earlier this week that the match was pretty much set.

Mahal talked about his amazing trip to India and how he ate at 5 Star restaurants and hung out with Bollywood stars. Then a little boy asked him what’s next?

“You can’t wrestle” chants broke out and Mahal reminded them he was the champion. Then Jinder Mahal challenged Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series.

AJ Styles came out and asked if he heard Mahal correctly. AJ Styles said Mahal has never faced him and Mahal called him a loser and he’s the champion.

Mahal said he gets a ton of respect in his country and AJ reminded him they’re not in India. Mahal said the fact AJ’s challenging Mahal is an absolute joke. Then Styles started to attack Mahal. He hit a Pele Kick on Mahal and let Mahal scramble out of the ring with the Singh Brothers.

Bobby Roode vs Dolph Ziggler

Ziggler took it to Roode very early on but Bobby came back with the fight. They took it to the outside where Roode was driven into the side of the ring and Dolph hit one of his amazing dropkicks.

After a little back and forth, Dolph Ziggler won by clinging to Roode’s tights.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler via pinfall

Aiden English was backstage singing away because he can and life should be a musical after all. He chastised two guys in the hall for not paying attention to him. Then The New Day came out and partied with Booty-O’s while Woods played away on his trombone.

Then Rusev showed up and proclaimed it was Rusev Day again. Then Kofi said that means it’s time to celebrate. Woods started playing Rusev’s theme song on his trombone and they partied off. Xavier Woods actually learned Rusev’s theme song on the trombone… that’s just awesome.

Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

Sami and Nakamura started things out until Orton got the tag and Owens wanted the tag. It looks like we’re going to be getting KO vs The Viper and Zayn vs Nakamura going forward as the feuds here.

KO slid out of the ring to avoid an RKO. Sami took a punch when he got in Orton’s way and KO used this opportunity to slam The Viper into the barricade.

The babyfaces started to rally as Nakamura began his comeback but Zayn pulled KO from the ring before Nakamura could land a running knee in the corner which gave him a chance to gain an advantage.

KO hit a running senton for a two count and applied a headlock to slow things down. But Shinsuke soon turned it around and landed a few knees in the corner. Zayn and Orton got tagged in and Randy ran roughshod over the heels.

Randy suplexed KO onto the barricade and suplexed Zayn through the announce table and it just collapsed. Orton cracked a nice smile as he was quite pleased with this breakage.

Orton hit his amazing snap powerslam on Sami once they got back in the ring. Owens took out Nakamura on the outside by tossing him into the steps. With the referee distracted, Zayn hit Orton with a low blow and followed it up with a Helluva Kick.

1-2-3 and the heels win

Winners: Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

Backstage KO and Sami were backstage rubbing it in Daniel Bryan’s face that they won and asked him what he had for them next week. Bryan said it wasn’t up to him because it was up to Shane McMahon… it looks like Shane-O is coming back next week.

Then Kevin and Sami came back out to rub it in Orton and Nakamura’s faces that they won before the show went off the air. KO said there isn’t anything anyone can do about it. KO said Zayn was his best friend. Zayn hugged KO as they left “hug me! Hold me tight!” Owens yelled right before the show went off the air.
