Last year WWE got the wrestling word talking when a new edict was introduced banning talents from working with third party platforms such as Twitch and Cameo.

Now Wrestling Inc. reports that WWE is issuing violations to talents for posts on Twitter or Instagram which name any third party business, person, brand or charity.

The violations reportedly start with a warning, followed by a fine, and then a suspension. It’s also being said that WWE is claiming ownership of talent Twitter and Instagram accounts via a clause in their contracts granting the company exclusive use of their likeness.

WWE has made it clear to talents who have complained that the current “flexibility” with social media could be retracted.

According to a recent study from LoveUX, Lana made $625,922 off 59 sponsored posts in 2020, and Mandy Rose earned an estimated $490,104 off 71 sponsored posts.

Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
