2017 has been an interesting year to be a WWE fan, but it’s almost over and 2018 will be here before we know it. With the new year comes to Royal Rumble match, and as soon as the Royal Rumble ends we’ll be on the road to WrestleMania.

Recently 5 female stars were called up from NXT to the main roster with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville joining Raw, and Ruby Riot, Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan joining the SmackDown Live brand.

With so many female stars on the main roster, there’s been a lot of talk about WWE possibly holding the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match in 2018, and now it seems that WWE officials are discussing another first ever match for the ladies of the main roster.

Ryan Satin and James McKenna of Pro Wrestling Sheet recently discussed the topic of the a women’s Royal Rumble on Wrestling Sheet Radio, and during the conversation they mentioned that WWE officials are also considering a women’s Elimination Chamber match for next year.

As of right now the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view is scheduled to take place from Las Vegas, NV on February 25, and it’s set to be a Raw exclusive pay-per-view.

WrestleMania is set to take place in April, so if WWE officials do decide to move forward with a women’s Elimination Chamber match, it could have a big impact on the show depending on the implications of the match.
