The WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view aired live from Saudi Arabia on Thursday, but the big story coming out of the event was that 175 talents, crew members and employees were left stranded in Saudi Arabia following the event.

WWE issued a statement claiming that the issues were caused by a mechanical failure on the plane, but it was later reported that Vince McMahon didn’t air Crown Jewel live in Saudi Arabia due to the Saudis owing money from previous shows.

Vince McMahon managed to get out of the country, and Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that talents felt as if they were “deserted” with some even noting they felt they were part of a “dick waving contest.”

Meltzer also added that while he doesn’t know what’s true or not, he’s heard different stories from different people of things that had happened on previous trips that weren’t made public, and were possibly covered up.

While he didn’t go into detail, Meltzer noted that the stories were “really, really bad” but again emphasized that he doesn’t know how true the stories are. He added some talents now believe the stories are true, and some talents were spreading the stories around.

WWE’s deal with Saudi Arabia has been heavily criticized from the start, so it will be interesting to see where things go from here.
