A few years ago WWE Dr. Chris Amann filed a lawsuit against CM Punk and Colt Cabana due to comments Punk had made on Cabana’s podcast, and the trial finally wrapped up last week.

The jury ended up ruling in Punk’s favor, so the former WWE Champion didn’t have to pay anything but legal fees by the time it was all said and done.

The trial revealed some interesting things about Punk’s time with WWE, and a week before the trial Amann filed a number of motions with the intent of making sure various issues couldn’t be brought up before the jury.

David Bixenspan of Deadspin is reporting that Amann filed a motion which argued that the defense could not reference Amann’s sexual relationships with then WWE Superstar Jillian Hall, and another independent wrestler who he apparently met at a WWE try out event.

It’s also being reported exhibits to the motion included excerpts from depositions where Dr. Amann answered “yes” when asked if he had “any relationship with [Hall] while she was a performer,” and also answered “yes” when asked if they had “a romantic relationship,” and if they had “a sexual relationship.”

Jillian Hall gave Deadspin permission to use her name in the story and confirmed that she had a romantic relationship with Amann during his time as the doctor overseeing Raw while she was a part of the brand’s roster.

NYU medical ethics professor Arthur Caplan commented on the relationship saying that it’s “a huge ethics no-no” for a doctor to have a relationship with one of their patients.

Dr. Chris Amann and his lawyers have not commented on the story, but WWE issued the following statement:

“We were not aware of this. We are investigating the matter and will determine if any action is warranted.”
