Earlier today WWE announced that they’ve released Zeb Colter, Hornswoggle, El Torito and Alex Riley from their contracts. Now the company has updated their announcement and they’ve added Cameron and Santino Marella. WWE posted the following on their website:

“WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstars Santino Marella, Cameron, Hornswoggle, Alex Riley, El Torito and Zeb Colter as of today, Friday, May 6, 2016. WWE wishes them the best in all of their future endeavors.”

Hornswoggle has been absent from WWE programming for quite a while and he was suspended in September of 2015 for violating the company’s Wellness policy. Zeb Colter was being used last fall as he teamed up with Alberto Del Rio and tried to form a country called MexAmerica. Unfortunately for them nobody wanted to join their country so they were split up and Colter disappeared from television

Alex Riley returned from injury a few months ago after being on the shelf for eight months and he wrestled a few matches on NXT after returning. El Torito is another character that hasn’t been on TV in a while due to the fact that he had been working with Los Matadores and they’ve recently been repackaged.

Cameron posted a lengthy blog just yesterday talking about her WWE career, angry wrestling fans and cyberbullying. She hasn’t been seen much on WWE programming inside the ring and in May of 2015 it was announced that she was no longer a full time member of the Total Divas cast. Santino Marella made an appearance at the Slammy Awards last year and he followed that up with an appearance on Super SmackDown the next night. Marella retired from the ring in 2014 after undergoing surgery on his neck.
