As noted, Roman Reigns was temporarily suspended by Vince McMahon on Monday Night Raw this week after he confronted Vince McMahon.
At this point it’s not known how long the suspension will last, but WWE posted the following saying that Roman’s suspension is effective immediately:
“Per WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon, Roman Reigns is temporarily suspended, effective immediately. The suspension came moments after Reigns publicly criticized The Chairman for choosing not to punish Universal Champion Brock Lesnar when The Beast Incarnate did not appear live in Detroit to meet The Big Dog face-to-face as scheduled, four weeks before their title bout at WrestleMania 34. Stay with WWE.com and all of WWE’s social media platforms as new details on Reigns’ WWE status become available on The Road to WrestleMania.”
As Roman Reigns walked backstage to confront Vince McMahon, the cameras showed that Shane McMahon was sitting by his father’s side at the Gorilla Position.
Kevin Owens took exception to the fact that the Commissioner of SmackDown Live wasn’t at the SmackDown live event on Monday, and he posted the following on Twitter:
Glad to see our #SDLive commissioner has his priorities in order.
His crew is at a live event in Dayton, yet he’s sitting by daddy at #Raw in Detroit.
