It’s been a long time coming, but Kurt Angle is finally set to make his WWE return this year. It was announced on Monday that Kurt Angle will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year, and he’s set to headline the 2017 class. ESPN broke the news on Monday, and WWE aired a video package hyping up Kurt Angle’s induction on Raw, and the video can be viewed below.

Kurt Angle made his WWE debut at Survivor Series in 1999, and he quickly joined the main event scene. Before long Kurt Angle was feuding with big stars such as The Rock and Triple H, and he had some interesting rivalries with those two names throughout his career.

According to Kurt Angle, it was Triple H who called him on Monday to inform him about the Hall of Fame induction, and Triple H took to Twitter after the announcement was made to say that he’s proud to welcome Kurt Angle into the WWE Hall of Fame.

The Rock also commented on Kurt Angle’s Hall of Fame induction by referencing their title matches, and he congratulated the Olympic gold medalist.

At this point Kurt Angle has said that he hasn’t talked with WWE about possibly wrestling for the company again, but he does have some opponents in mind. You can get more on that below.
