vince mcmahon

Vince McMahon does what Vince McMahon wants to do, and he’s never afraid to take a chance. Vince has reminded us over the years that without risk there can be no reward, and it looks like Vince is setting up for something big in the months to come.

Many fans remember when Vince announced the XFL, and there was a lot of hype for the league when it debuted, but the XFL never made it to a second season.

However, now it looks like Vince McMahon is interested in getting into football once again.

McMahon recently filed five trademarks for the XFL, and according to Darren Rovell of ESPN, the trademarks were filed on December 16.

Vince McMahon recently launched Alpha Entertainment which is a company that will presumably be the parent company behind Vince’s new football league, and ESPN also reports that McMahon sold 3.34 million of his WWE shares for about $100 million.

The filing for the sale noted that the shares were being sold, “primarily to fund a separate entity from the Company, Alpha Entertainment LLC, which Mr. McMahon established to explore investment opportunities across the sports and entertainment landscapes, including professional football.”

Vince McMahon has yet to comment on what he’s up to, but it’s rumored that a big announcement could be coming in January.

Stay tuned.
