Injuries are never convenient for the stars of WWE, but unfortunately they do happen. The members of the WWE roster work hard, and due to the strain they put on their bodies, injuries are inevitable. Xavier Woods is one the latest WWE stars to suffer an injury, and it happened during a WWE live event on Monday night.

Woods competed in a tag team triple threat match featuring The Usos, New Day and Breezango on Monday night, and he went for a DDT on one of The Usos, but his knee gave out. Kofi Kingston then entered the ring to get rolled up and pinned for the finish, and it was later reported that Xavier Woods was set to undergo a medical evaluation at SmackDown Live on Tuesday.

Xavier Woods did appear on SmackDown Live Tuesday night when The New Day faced The Usos, but Xavier didn’t compete. Instead Big E and Kofi Kingston fought The Usos, and Xavier Woods made his way down to the ringside area wearing a knee brace with a sign around his neck that said “it’s sore.”

Woods provided an update on his injury during a livestream on the UpUpDownDown YouTube channel on Tuesday, and he revealed that he sprained his MCL. During the livestream Becky Lynch noted that she had a similar injury that took about a month to heal, and she also added that she wrestled through the injury.

At this point WWE has yet to announce the severity of Xavier’s injury, but hopefully he won’t be missing much time in the ring.
