A few weeks ago WWE released Emma, Darren Young and Summer Rae, and fans were most surprised to see Emma had been wished the best in her future endeavors. The former WWE Superstar has quite the fan following, so she should have no problem finding work when she’s available to return to the ring in February.

It was recently reported that Emma is asking $2,000 per show on the independent scene, and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that price is only for events outside of North America. For dates in North America the price is being quoted at $1,500 per show, plus round-trip airfare, hotel and ground transportation.

It’s not uncommon for talents to ask for these things for dates outside of North America because the travel is harder and the long hours of traveling sometimes cause performers to miss a day of regular bookings.

The former WWE star is also reportedly asking for a 50/50 split between her and the promoter for autographs with her keeping 100 percent of her merchandise money.

She’s also asking for creative control where she wants to be able to approve her opponents and the finish to her matches. It was noted that it’s not uncommon for top independent stars to have the right to approve those things, so that probably won’t be a deal breaker.

  1. Some people go crazy about the number. But actually 1.5k is quite low for somebody that was in the WWE. Big names from WWE charge way more. And the conditions are standard or, like the Observer wrote, are all usual, no deal breaker and “in the guidelines”.
