royal rumble

This year the Royal Rumble is set to take place from the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX, and several Raw superstars have been confirmed for the Rumble match over the past few weeks. This week on SmackDown WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose and The Miz met in the ring for the Ambrose Asylum, and both stars declared that they will be entering the Royal Rumble match.

This week on Raw The Undertaker confirmed his status for the Royal Rumble as he returned to announce that he will be entering the match. As of this writing Taker, Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins, Chris Jericho, Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods, Baron Corbin, Dean Ambrose and The Miz have all been confirmed for the Royal Rumble match.

The Royal Rumble match is loaded with its fair share of stars at this point, and the rest of the card is also stacked with title matches.

AJ Styles is set to defend his WWE Championship against John Cena at the Royal Rumble and Kevin Owens will defend the Universal Championship against Roman Reigns. United States Champion Chris Jericho will be suspended above the ring in a shark cage during the Universal Championship match.

The WWE Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte will also be defending her title against Bayley at the event.

With the Royal Rumble only a few weeks away and only 12 stars confirmed so far, it’s safe to say we can expect more Royal Rumble announcements sooner than later.

This week on WWE SmackDown Becky Lynch pointed out how she made La Luchadora tap out last week, and she noted that the La Luchadora she made tap out was actually Alexa Bliss in disguise.

After watching footage from the match, Daniel Bryan decided to book a Women’s Title match for next week’s show and he announced that Alexa Bliss will defend her title against Becky Lynch in a steel cage match.
