On Saturday night the annual WWE Hall of Fame ceremony aired live on the WWE Network, and the event was headlined by one of the most infamous groups in the history of professional wrestling, D-Generation X.
Billy Gunn now works for All Elite Wrestling, and DX didn’t shy away from mentioning that fact during their induction speech.
Triple H fired the first shot when he addressed himself as Executive Vice President, then said “Apparently if you put Executive Vice President in front of anyone’s name it makes em’ feel important.”
For anyone who doesn’t know, Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega are all Executive Vice Presidents of AEW.
Billy Gunn later joked that Vince can’t fire him as the fans chanted “AE-DUB!” Then Triple H responded by saying that Vince “will buy that pissant company just so he can fire you!”
