money in the bank

There was a time when Money In The Bank seemed so far away because we got a rare six-week hiatus between events. But as the big show approaches WWE is stacking the card and all but one crucial spot in the Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match is filled.

The plan is to determine who will get the remaining spot by holding a seven-woman gauntlet match. The last time WWE held a gauntlet match on Raw it took up pretty much the entire show, so only time will tell how long this one runs.

If they give this match a lot of time on next week’s show, let’s hope Sasha Banks, Sarah Logan, Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Mickie James, Bayley, and Dana Brooke can bring their A-Game because they have some large shoes to fill after the last impressive gauntlet match the men had where Braun Strowman ended up roaring his way to victory.

Ruby Riott sent out a poetic tweet saying the Riott Squad will stand together in this match. But in a gauntlet match situation, it’s kind of hard for the numbers game to really help you win due to the nature of the stipulation of one person coming down at a time. If anything, it might create a situation where two Riott Squad members have to do battle. Of course, it also greatly raises the chances of a Riott Squad member walking out of Raw with a Money In The Bank match in their future, so that’s something good for them.

Bayley replied to Ruby’s tweet by simply saying, “No.” It sounds like Bayley would like to disagree but with so many factors at play, it’s really hard to tell who could win this match.

Next week’s Raw is going to be a full show and they really need to make up for a lot because some fans have been extremely critical of the booking decisions as of late. But for every “Bobby Lashley’s sisters” segment you have another amazing match. Let’s hope the women’s gauntlet match can deliver as WWE continues to put together Money In The Bank.
