impact wrestling

Global Force Wrestling has merged with Impact Wrestling. This is a pretty big move that could have some rather deep ramifications in the scope of both companies. But, essentially it means that both of Jeff Jarrett’s passion projects are now under the same roof. During the most recent set of television tapings for Impact Wrestling, there were some major developments for Global Force Wrestling as well. One of the biggest announcements during the Impact Wrestling television tapings was the introduction of a tournament to determine the new GFW Tag Team Champions.

Of course, this is not the biggest piece of information to come out of this set of television tapings in regards to Impact and GFW’s new partnership. Magnus was the reigning GFW Champion but he wouldn’t have an easy night. As it turns out, Magnus would be made to defend his GWF Championship Title against Alberto El Patron during the show.

The fans in attendance were very hot for this match. It was said there were plenty of nice spots and near falls. Alberto El Patron has been through a lot in the past year, but he seems to be in the right place with Impact Wrestling.

Alberto El Patron has stated in the past he plans on retiring from pro wrestling under the Impact Wrestling banner. But while he’s there, Alberto obviously has no qualms about capturing the world championship of another company as long as it is a company recently merged with Impact Wrestling.

Alberto El Patron defeated Magnus to become to new Global Force Wrestling Champion at the television taping. So if you’re a fan of Impact Wrestling, you’ll have that to look forward to.

Alberto is the kind of person who holds championship titles with pride, and that’s exactly what they need in IW. Let’s just hope this is only the first sign of more great things to come for Alberto and Impact Wrestling.
