shinsuke nakamura

It’s been a big year for Shinsuke Nakamura. He won the Royal Rumble, and he went on to challenge AJ Styles for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 34.

Nakamura didn’t end up winning the belt, but his feud with AJ continued for several months after Mania. Even though the feud was a lengthy one, Shinsuke Nakamura told TV Insider that he didn’t show everything.

“I wanted to do more for the first time on WWE. I think I could show myself more against AJ. But still, I liked getting the chance against AJ. After WrestleMania I became the heel, but I didn’t show everything. Just a little bit.”

Throughout the course of their feud, Nakamura hit Styles with the low blow quite a few times.

Shinsuke noted that the idea wasn’t something he came up with, and he wouldn’t reveal who suggested the move.

“I wanted to say the idea came from myself, but it’s not true. I don’t want to say who it was. Everybody can imagine. It was awesome because when I hit the low blow at WrestleMania, all the Japanese fans were shocked. The people in the arena were loud. They were like, ‘Yeah!'”

Even though the low blow didn’t help Nakamura win the WWE Championship, it did get a lot of people talking, and he has since gone on to win the United States Championship, which he currently holds.
