Rusev and Lana are currently on SmackDown Live, and The Bulgarian Brute hasn’t had the best of luck since making his return to WWE. It was recently reported that Rusev requested to be released from his WWE contract, and that WWE did not grant his request, but now The Bulgarian Brute and his wife Lana have taken to social media to shoot down the report. It’s also worth noting that the original report made by Sportskeeda has since been deleted from the site.
Lana decided to call whoever started this rumor a “pathetic villager.” Therefore, according to Lana, The Bulgarian Brute hasn’t asked for his release from WWE and Lana isn’t unhappy.
In fact, Lana is involved in a rather intriguing storyline with Tamina that has evolved into something quite interesting on SmackDown Live. Can Lana make Tamina the female Rusev? Only time will tell.
Meanwhile, Rusev is a great talent and although he isn’t involved in any major angles at the moment, he certainly deserves a few good programs. It has been reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rusev and Randy Orton’s rivalry is just beginning so there’s still plenty for Rusev to do in order to avenge his nine second loss at SummerSlam.
So according to The Ravishing Russain and The Bulgarian Brute, it doesn’t look like they’re going anywhere right now.
