Ronda Rousey has been a fan of professional wrestling for a long time as evidenced by the fact her nickname was borrowed straight from the Hot Rod himself. Now that Rowdy Ronda Rousey seems to be inching ever closer to a WWE deal, fans seem to be chomping at the bit to see how WWE will utilize her MMA talents and are anxious to see how she will be able to translate those skills into a pro wrestling ring.

The first-ever Woman’s Royal Rumble seemed to open up a great opportunity for fans to see a Rousey debut in an official sense, but it turns out her already busy schedule might be getting in the way of those plans already.

Pro Wrestling Sheet reports while sources say there’s always the possibility something can be arranged at the last minute and get Rousey to Philly on January 28th for the Royal Rumble, she might be busy.

Ronda Rousey has a role in the new Mark Wahlberg film Mile 22 which is set to film after the holidays in Bogota Columbus. This shooting schedule is said to be lengthy therefore it very well could overlap with the Royal Rumble date at the end of January.

WWE has expressed interest to Rousey’s camp about her coming in but nothing more has really transpired in that regard. Without anything being “hammered down” when it comes to a contract for Rousey, a Royal Rumble appearance seems unlikely.

The Mile 22 film started filming last month in Atlanta, but a crew member on the film posted on Instagram confirming their Bogota destination very soon.

It’s not unheard of for WWE to pull off insane travel arrangements to make an appearance happen (just ask Chris Jericho) but at this time a Royal Rumble appearance might not be in the cards unless something can be arranged at the last minute.
