roman reigns

The Anoa’i Family suffered a great loss recently as Matt “Rosey” Anoa’i sadly passed away. He was only 47-years-old when he died of congestive heart failure. Rosey was the brother of current WWE superstar Roman Reigns.

WWE has pulled Roman Reigns from all of the live events this weekend. Pulling Reigns from these shows is likely to do with WWE giving Roman time to spend with his family after the passing of his brother.

Roman Reigns is still slated to be appearing on Monday Night Raw this week in some capacity though. He is also still scheduled to wrestle at Payback against Braun Strowman. But fans at the WWE live house shows this weekend won’t get to see The Big Dog Roman Reigns in action.

Our deepest sympathies still go out to the Anoa’i Family during this awful time of loss.

Roman Reigns’ absence from the WWE live show in Rapid City is likely the reason why Sami Zayn took on Braun Strowman in South Dakota. But as one would expect the encounter didn’t go well for Sami.

The show opened with the Braun Strowman vs Sami Zayn contest. Braun was challenged by The Underdog From The Underground and The Monster Among Men gladly accepted the match.

Just imagine how much you’d be kicking yourself if you showed up a little late just in time to hear people talk about Braun putting Sami through a table. Those in attendance said the match was a great opener which is understandable because these two guys are quite familiar with each other.

It should also be noted Sami Zayn is apparently still working Raw house shows even though he’s on SmackDown Live now. But, he wasn’t the only one who worked a show for their former brand in Rapid City. Jinder Mahal took on Finn Balor at the event as well. Finn Balor came out on top of that contest to defeat the new #1 contender on the SmackDown brand.
