Baron Corbin has been a very hot topic as of late after his unsuccessful Money in the Bank cash in on SmackDown Live a few weeks ago. Many fans expected Baron Corbin to cash in at SummerSlam on Sunday night, but SummerSlam proved to be uneventful for The Lone Wolf as he lost to John Cena in the opening match of the main show.

It’s been reported that Baron Corbin has some backstage heat, and it was recently reported by Billi Bhatti of Sportskeeda that Cena and Corbin got into a backstage altercation after the August 15th episode of SmackDown Live. However, Road Dogg is shooting down the report.

Sportskeeda also recently reported that Rusev had requested his release from WWE, but Rusev later took to Twitter to shoot down the report, and the report was later deleted from the site. The report also claimed that Rusev got into an altercation with WWE creative, and Road Dogg had to step in and calm things down.

Road Dogg later cracked a joke about the report on Twitter.

Bhatti responded to Road Dogg by insisting that the report about Rusev asking for his release is true, and Road Dogg told him that he was misinformed.

Bhatti then pushed a little bit further on the Cena/Corbin altercation story by showcasing an audio clip from SummerSlam featuring Cena exchanging words with Corbin, but Road Dogg wasn’t having it.

Now that John Cena has finished up his feud with Baron Corbin and moved to Raw, it looks like Corbin is in line to be the next challenger for AJ Styles’ next US Championship, and Cena is being set up for a feud with Roman Reigns. So, whether there really is heat between Cena and Corbin or not, it’s not something either star will have to worry about any time soon now that they’re on separate brands.
