#4 – Alberto Del Rio Has A Terrible Record In World Title Matches At Night Of Champions

alberto

Alberto Del Rio just can’t seem to win the big one at Night of Champions. His record currently stands at 0 wins and 3 losses when it comes to World Championship matches at the event. His WWE title reign came to an end when he lost to John Cena in 2011, he couldn’t defeat Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Championship in 2012 and he got himself disqualified when Rob Van Dam challenged him for the World Heavyweight Championship in 2013. Like we said, not a good record.

rumble

Despite the fact that they were eliminated last from the Royal Rumble, John Cena, Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, Triple H/Cena all went on to participate in World Championship matches at WrestleMania during their respective years.

#1 – WrestleMania 16 Was The First Time A Heel Walked Out Of The Event With The Title

WrestleMania 16 isn’t exactly looked back on as one of the greatest WrestleManias but it was a game changer that’s for sure. WrestleMania 16 was the first time in WrestleMania history where a heel walked out of the big event as WWE Champion when Triple H retained his title in a fatal four way elimination match against The Rock, Big Show and Mick Foley.
