triple h

Triple H recently returned, and he returned in a very big way. Last week on Raw he hit Jason Jordan with the Pedigree and then announced that he would be the 5th member on Team Raw for the traditional Survivor Series elimination match.

The former WWE World Champion led his team to victory, but in an unexpected way. It came down to Triple H, Braun Strowman and Kurt Angle vs. Shane McMahon, and when Kurt least expected it, Hunter turned on him, then placed Shane McMahon’s body on top of Kurt as the ref counted the pin to eliminate the Olympic Hero.

It’s been rumored for a while now that Hunter and Kurt Angle are set to collide at WrestleMania, but what happened after was definitely worth paying attention to as well.

When it was all said and done, Triple H and Braun Strowman were the last two men standing in the ring, and after Triple H tried to attack Strowman from behind, Strowman wrecked him with two running powerslams.

Now there’s speculation that WWE could be setting up a Triple H vs Braun Strowman match as well.

Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the Survivor Series pay-per-view set up two possible matches for Triple H which could take place at either the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania.

“So are they gonna do Hunter and Braun at Mania, and Hunter and Kurt at Royal Rumble, or the other way around?” Alvarez continued, “Those are the two matches that apparently Hunter is going to have right here.”

“Hunter and Angle at Mania was the plan months ago, but who knows now,” Meltzer added.
