rusev

Rusev has been out of action for a little while now as he was written off TV at the WWE Fastlane pay-per-view. The former United States Champion was destroyed by the Big Show, and he later underwent shoulder surgery.

The Bulgarian Brute is now sitting on the sidelines recovering from surgery, but it looks like we could be seeing him at Money in the Bank which is set to take place from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, MO on June 18.

During the Superstar Shake-up, Rusev was moved to SmackDown Live, but he has yet to make an appearance on the show. During this week’s episode of SmackDown, a video message from Rusev aired on the broadcast, and he made an interesting demand.

Rusev says if he doesn’t get a championship match at Money in the Bank, he will return to Bulgaria.

“I don’t like SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan. I don’t like SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon, and I do not agree with his father’s shake-up. So I told them the only way I will come wrestle for SmackDown Live is if they give me a championship match at Money in the Bank. Otherwise, I’ll just pack my bags and go right back home to Bulgaria.”

Rusev didn’t state which title he wanted to challenge for, so it should be interesting to see if he does indeed get a title shot, but either way it looks like there’s a good chance we’ll be seeing Rusev at Money in the Bank in June.
