cm punk

It’s been over 4 years since CM Punk said goodbye to the world of professional wrestling, but Punk is still a very hot topic within the community. It seems that no matter how bad things get between WWE and Superstars who speak ill of the company after they leave, everyone ends up returning at some point.

Punk has expressed no interest in returning to WWE, or professional wrestling for that matter, but that hasn’t stopped people from hoping he will step inside the ring again someday.

It’s clear that there’s still bad blood between Punk and WWE, but WWE isn’t his only option when it comes to professional wrestling.

The New York Post recently asked Paul Heyman if there’s any chance of Punk wrestling in NJPW or ROH, but Heyman indicated that Punk is fully committed to his dream of being a fighter, and if UFC doesn’t work out, he’ll go elsewhere.

“I don’t think CM Punk cares one way or another what’s going on in the world of sports entertainment. He is someone that has achieved his goals by dedicating every aspect of his life to pursuing his passions. His passions right now are quite obviously in mixed martial arts and I don’t think he has a contingency plan in case of failure. I don’t think failure is an option for Phil Brooks. I think he is intent on making a go of it in the mixed martial arts world and if it doesn’t work out for him in UFC, I’m sure he would be looking a Bellator before he would be looking at a return to the wrestling ring.”

As of right now CM Punk’s next MMA fight has not been officially confirmed, but he’s hinted that he could be fighting at UFC 225 in June.
