The Miz has been Intercontinental Champion for quite some time now, but his 169 day reign came to an end when Roman Reigns defeated The Miz in the main event of Monday Night Raw this week.

Miz has been holding things down in the IC Title scene, but now it looks like that’s going to be Roman’s responsibility for a little while, and the current champion is already teasing that he will be holding an open challenge for the belt.
PWInsider is reporting that The Miz dropped the Intercontinental Championship to Roman Reigns on Monday because he’s set to take time off to film another movie. One source noted that Miz may be going to film the next installment in “The Marine” franchise.
After Raw went off the air this week The Shield powerbombed him through the announce table which was apparently WWE’s way of writing Miz out of the show for now.
Miz has been a big part of Monday Night Raw ever since he joined the brand in the Superstar Shake-up earlier this year, but it looks like the red team will have to go without him so he can focus on his acting career.
There’s currently no timetable for the former Intercontinental Champion’s return.
