The past few months have been absolutely crazy for James Ellsworth. He made his WWE debut over the summer when he faced off against Braun Strowman on Raw, and the fans instantly connected with him. Since then Ellsworth has managed to score two wins over the WWE World Champion AJ Styles, and an appearance on Still Real Radio.

This year has certainly been a “Chinderella story” for Ellsworth as JBL would say, and it looks like there’s a chance that we could be seeing more of James in the future.

PWInsider is reporting that there’s a push internally for WWE to sign James Ellsworth to a full time deal. Last week WWE released an official James Ellsworth t-shirt on WWEShop.com, and the shirt did very well. The t-shirt sales coupled with his popularity online reportedly turned heads backstage in WWE.

Ellsworth has certainly maximized his minutes on television, because he’s been able to make a name for himself in a short amount of time. He was recently asked by CBS Sports if he thinks he’ll be returning to WWE, and you can see what he had to say below.

“I have an idea, but I don’t really know. I don’t think it will be the last you see of me, but I don’t know. They really keep me in the dark about everything until I get there at TV. I have a little hint that it might happen, but I really am 100 percent not sure.”
