Although Randy Orton is the odds-on favorite to win the Royal Rumble, nothing is for sure until it happens. It was noted in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Orton is most likely to win the Rumble match and face Wyatt at WrestleMania for the title.

Wyatt is reportedly in line for a title run very soon, and it could very well happen at the Smackdown exclusive Elimination Chamber event next month.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer responded to a fan asking about the finish for tonight’s Royal Rumble match, and he gave clear indication that while Orton might seem like a lock to win the match tonight, nothing is set in stone when it comes to WWE creative.

Meltzer posted the following:

It is certainly an interesting dichotomy to consider seeing that if Orton doesn’t win the Rumble tonight, then this very well might alter Wyatt’s future plans as well. Seeing that they seem to be destined to tangle in Orlando, it is still uncertain whether or not it will be for the blue brand’s World Title. This definitely adds another spice of allurement to the ending of the Royal Rumble match tonight.

The Revial vs. Team DIY won the NXT Year End Award for Match of the Year last night for their 2 out of 3 falls contest in Takeover: Toronto. Both teams had been vying for the win as they enlisted help on several different occasions including Team DIY doing a new Glorious Bomb video.

Scott Dawson from The Revival tweeted out a thank you today to a very interesting recipient: The Young Bucks.

Nick Jackson tweeted out an appeal for fans to vote for this match-up in the match of the year category the previous day. We have no idea if this was the endorsement that put the 2 out of 3 falls match over the top and caused their victory, but it is still pretty cool to see how friendly The Young Bucks and the Revival are with each other.
