Paige has been out of action for over a year now due to an injury, and last fall she underwent surgery to repair her neck. Fans have been wondering when Paige might be returning to WWE, and it appears that her recovery is going well.

The former WWE Divas Champion and Alberto El Patron recently spoke with Busted Open Radio, and she noted that she’ll be doing her last checkup on Monday with Dr. Uribe, and hopefully she will be returning sooner rather than later.

“I just had my CT scan today and I do my last checkup on Monday with my good friend and doctor, Dr. Uribe, in Arizona,” Paige said via CageSideSeats. “Hopefully I’ll be back sooner rather than later but I don’t know at this point, I don’t know where it is. But I can’t wait to get back to work. It’s been since Oct. 19 that I had my surgery, so it’s been a while. So I’m like ‘just get me back, I want to be wrestling again.’ It feels so weird not to be wrestling for so long. I got to travel a little bit with Alberto but it’s not the same when you’re not in the ring yourself. I’m excited to get back to WWE.”

Paige also noted that she’s looking forward to seeing all of her friends in WWE and that she’s also looking forward to seeing the fans. She also said that she’s happy Naomi is the current SmackDown Women’s Champion.

A few weeks ago Alberto El Patron was suspended from Global Force Wrestling following an incident at the Orlando International Airport, but he said that everything is clear with the company.

Alberto noted that he won’t be at the GFW live events this weekend, but they’ve set a date for the suspension to “probably be lifted” and he’ll be returning very soon.
