Whether you think Lana should have stayed as Rusev’s manager is beside the point. The fact is she’s a wrestler now.

Lana was shot right to the top of the SmackDown Live where she received a few chances at the top women’s title of the Blue Brand. Lana didn’t walk away with the title on any occasion, but it might only be a matter of time before she gets another shot and is much more successful.

It’s been a tough road for Lana as she transitioned from being a manager to an in-ring entertainer. Lana has been placed alongside Tamina on SmackDown Live as she teaches Jimmy Snuka’s daughter how to crush just like The Bulgarian Brute. But Lana continues every day in an attempt to be the best she can be.

Lana recently spoke to E! Online where she revealed Nikki Bella isn’t just a castmate of her’s on Total Divas. Apparently, Nikki has also been there for Lana as a source of inspiration and motivation during some uncertain times in her career.

“Nikki has helped me so, so, so much,” Lana said. “There have been times in my wrestling journey—and you’re going to see this on the show—when I’ve gotten discouraged because the success doesn’t come overnight. It’s a lot of getting in there and failing. She was really the person that kept on encouraging me not to give up, to be resilient, to be brave and to have courage. At times, I would think maybe I shouldn’t continue to pursue my dream of competing in that ring, but she kept on telling me not to give up and keep on training. I wouldn’t be where I am now if it wasn’t for Nikki Bella.”

It’s great Nikki Bella is someone younger Superstars seem to rely on. Her veteran mindset for the business should always be respected and taken into consideration. She’s seen a lot during her time in WWE and just might see something in Lana that is worth her time which is really a cool thing.
