Kurt Angle is set to headline the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame class and fans are hoping to see him wrestle at least one more match inside a WWE ring. It remains to be seen if it will happen, as Angle has said that it’s not something he discussed with Triple H when Triple H informed him of his Hall of Fame induction.

There are quite a few WWE Superstars that Kurt Angle would like to wrestle, and during a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, he named a few potential opponents including AJ Styles, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Over the past few years Roman has had a tough time winning fans over, and Kurt seems to think that his push was just too much too soon.

“Yeah that poor kid, he got the short end of the stick. When it comes down to it, it’s really not his fault. I’m not discrediting the WWE, I think they’ve done a fabulous job of pushing this kid,” transcription via Wrestling Inc. “But I think the fans like to see going through the ringer. US Title, Intercontinental Title, King Of The Ring, then the WWE Title. I think Roman kind of stepped up there right away and became the main eventer, main evented Wrestlemania literally a year after The Shield broke up. I think it was partly that, but you can’t deny his talent. The kid is great in the ring.”

Many fans have argued that Roman Reigns was pushed too fast. He’s a three time WWE Champion and he’s headlined the past two WrestleManias. This year Reigns is expected to face The Undertaker in another high profile WrestleMania match, and the truth is that the match likely won’t do much to change his haters into fans.

The Undertaker is one of the most iconic figures in all of professional wrestling, and Roman Reigns still has a lot to prove in the eyes of the fans, so one way or another a Roman vs. Taker encounter at WrestleMania should be interesting to say the least.
