Kevin Owens Challenges Elton John To A Match At WrestleMania

Fans haven’t seen Kevin Owens on WWE programming in weeks, as the former Universal Champion is taking time off after undergoing knee surgery.

Owens has been making the most of his downtime by spending time with his family, and on Tuesday night he took his wife to an Elton John concert.

Unfortunately for Owens and his wife, Elton John canceled the concert 30 minutes after it was set to begin due to an ear infection.

There was some speculation that the concert was actually canceled due to a bomb threat, but according to the Amway Center there was no bomb threat.

Mike, there was never a bomb threat. As we have stated from the outset, tonight’s show was canceled due to an ear infection. All other explanations are unfounded. The new Orlando and Tampa dates will be announced in the near future.

In any case, the concert was canceled, and Kevin Owens wasn’t very happy about it. Owens reacted to the news by challenging Elton John to a match at WrestleMania when he posted the following:

Kevin also declared that he will never wear heart-shaped glasses for another man again.

The last time I wore red heart-shaped glasses for another man before tonight was on January 12, 1996 at the Montreal Forum. I was 11 years old. It was for Shawn Michaels!
