Shawn Michaels is Mr. WrestleMania, The Showstopper, The Main Event, WWE Hall Of Famer, and a founding member of one of the most influential stables of modern pro wrestling. He also has an incredibly deep voice to go along with it.

HBK’s deep, gravely voice has become a calling card of his throughout the years but it’s always meant for some cutting time on the microphone, that’s for sure. His voice is much bigger than he is, but this attribute only goes to add another layer to his in-ring ability as he’s consistently done battle with guys much larger than him anyway.

During Table For 3 featuring Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, and AJ Styles, the Heartbreak Kid was taking a chance to share the first time he and The Phenomenal One met when Big Daddy Cool had to ask a question.

Diesel asked Styles if he was shocked to hear such a deep voice come out of HBK’s mouth the first time he met him. Apparently, when Nash first met Michaels he was quite taken back at how deep and gravely the future WWE Hall Of Famer’s voice was and this has been something Nash has brought up ever since.

Styles asked Shawn if he took on that sound of a voice in order to mask a southern accent saying if he spoke like that he might drop his own Southern twang and Michaels denied it saying he always spoken that way.

“The first time I met [Shawn Michaels], it was in Albany, New York the first time I met,” Kevin Nash said, “I walked up to him and I was like, ‘hi I’m Kevin’ and he’s like ‘HI I’M SHAWN’… I didn’t expect [that]”

Michaels did jokingly say that since Kevin Nash was so massive, he might have been laying it on a little thick to impress the new big man.
