We previously reported that John Cena is set to host the 2017 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards and Nickelodeon has now released some promotional videos to hype up the event. In this promo John Cena promotes the fact that he’ll be hosting the ceremony this year, and everyone wondering (like we were) if John Cena was going to get slimed at the yearly celebration of kids’ picks will be happy to know he got that out of the way early, because the video ends with our favorite Fruity Pebbles dressing superstar covered in green slime.
This is a great video and we’ve watched it around the office at least a dozen times. John Cena is clearly game for anything. It’s no secret why he’s making his mark on Hollywood like he is. Besides, any guy who can roll with the punches and still display this kind of dominance and childlike aura at the same time certainly deserves all the opportunities he can get.
Now, just for fun let’s jump in our Still Real To Us time machine and travel back to the good old days when the WWE had the pipe bomb dropping, Pepsi tattoo having, no craps given Straight Edge Superstar. CM Punk also got in on the slime gimmick once upon a time, and it was an incredible moment.
