john cena

John Cena fans have a reason to be excited, because the 16 time WWE World Champion is set to make his return to TV on Tuesday, July 4th. Cena will be returning to SmackDown Live, but he is no longer exclusive to the blue brand, as WWE recently announced that he became a free agent during the Superstar Shake-up.

The exact details regarding how John Cena’s free agent status will work are still unknown, and there are a lot of questions that still need to be answered. However, the company obviously has plans to use Cena for both brands soon as he’s being advertised for both Raw and SmackDown events.

John Cena has been added to the SmackDown Live exclusive WWE Battleground pay-per-view which is set to air on the WWE Network on Sunday, July 23. It will be the final WWE pay-per-view before SummerSlam and as of this writing Cena’s role for the show is unknown.

The former WWE Champion has also been added to the July 15th Raw live event in Huntington, West Virginia and he’s being advertised for a match with Bray Wyatt.
