It looks like all of the hoping and praying that WWE will clear Daniel Bryan for an in-ring return paid off. It’s been a long time since the WWE Universe saw Daniel Bryan in the ring although there hasn’t been any lack of passion from D-Bry to get back to business. WWE confirmed today that Daniel Bryan now is officially cleared for an in-ring return.

Ever since WWE’s doctor retired Daniel Bryan early he’s been working to be medically cleared once again to compete. He loves pro wrestling and it is his therapy. It would be very hard to find someone better at therapy than Daniel Bryan as well.

It looks like the testing and treatments Daniel Bryan was tirelessly working to get through had some major benefits and his own doctors’ approval apparently changed WWE’s Dr. Maroon’s mind.

WWE posted the following announcement confirming Bryan’s return on WWE.com:

“Following more than two years of extensive evaluations, four-time World Champion Daniel Bryan has been medically cleared to return to in-ring competition by leading neurosurgeons, neurologists and concussion experts, including Dr. Robert Cantu, Dr. Javier Cárdenas and Dr. Jeffrey Kutcher. Bryan underwent a full review of his medical history and received comprehensive neurological and physical evaluations independent of WWE. He was cleared by each doctor as well as WWE’s Medical Director, Dr. Joseph Maroon.”

Now that Daniel Bryan is medically cleared to compete once more it really brings up a much bigger question about the precedent it could set. But that kind of thinking could dampen our excitement so let’s just be very happy about this announcement.

One thing is for sure, WrestleMania is going to be even bigger with D-Bry expected to be added to the card. He might be inserted into a tag match against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn with Shane McMahon as his partner, but only time will tell how many more matches Daniel Bryan will have after that.

The Super Dome has to be a special place in Daniel Bryan’s heart because it was the same building he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXX and now he will make his triumphant return this year.

It’s uncertain if this could lead to more matches but at least he’s cleared the possibilities could be endless as long as he stays healthy. If Daniel Bryan has anything to say about it he’ll be locking up as much as possible at this point.

Let’s just hope he’s able to stay healthy and possibly modify his moveset to take fewer risks in the ring.
