It has been previously noted that WWE is contacting many former female wrestlers ahead of a match at WrestleMania for their SmackDown Women’s Division.

Whilst the likes of Melina, Victoria and Beth Phoenix have already been previously mentioned, it seems that AJ Lee could also be on that list. The storyline follows the fact that Mickie James and many other women started a revolution long before the Divas Revolution was brought into focus and it is thought that AJ Lee would definitely want to be part of this.

The former three-time Divas Champion retired from WWE following WrestleMania 31 back in 2015 and has since been working on a biography entitled ‘Crazy Is My Superpower‘ which will be released in the weeks following WrestleMania 33.

It is thought that AJ could be set to return for a one-off match as a way to promote her upcoming book and still be part of the on-going SmackDown storyline. It would be a great business opportunity for both WWE and AJ Lee, but it seems that if AJ was set to return, then she would definitely be returning alone.

There were some rumors that stated that AJ’s husband CM Punk could be making his return to WWE as well, but this speculation has been squashed by the fact that Punk is now training for his next UFC match and has no plans to return to the company he left more than three years ago.
