Eva Marie hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since August, as she’s been away from the company working on her acting skills. Eva recently wrapped up filming for a movie titled “Inconceivable” starring Nicolas Cage, and she’s currently filming “Action #1.”
The SmackDown star recently spoke to the International Business Times, and she noted that she hopes to emulate The Rock’s career and become a crossover star.
“After a few months [in WWE] I was like ‘OK, if I could emulate The Rock’s career that would be fantastic to make a crossover like how he’s done,’” Eva told IBT. “I really want to take the Eva Marie Brand and do both [wrestling and movies] for as long as I can.”
As far as her return to the ring goes, Eva Marie indicated that she’s ready to shake things up when she gets back.
“You have to believe in yourself. I’ve put in the work so I do think I’m ready to come back and shake things up because I think the WWE Universe is tired of seeing something repeated, meaning some people possibly going against each other. There’s not one person like Eva Marie, and I definitely think that I’ve shown that, and I think that’ll be a huge dynamic when I come back.”
Austin Aries is out of action following the brutal kick he took the face from Shinsuke Nakamura at a NXT live event a few weeks ago. Aries noted on Twitter that he now has a titanium plate in his face.
