Mike Tyson is a WWE Hall of Famer, and although some wrestling purists might disagree with his Hall of Famer status, there’s no denying that Mike had a big impact on the Attitude Era. Back in the day WWE brought Mike Tyson in to be the special enforcer for the WWE Title match at WrestleMania 14, and that proved to be a wise decision.

Tyson’s interactions with stars such as Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels got a lot of people talking, and his presence drew people to WWE programming.

WWE recently posted a clip from the WWE Network show Monday Night Wars on Twitter, and the clip highlights Tyson’s time working with the company. The clip also featured an interview with Bret Hart where he claimed that Mike Tyson contacted WCW before he contacted WWE, and according to Bret, Eric Bischoff blew him off.

“I remember Eric Bischoff telling me Mike Tyson had called him first, and he kind of blew him off. He said, ‘we don’t need Mike Tyson.’ I remember listening to that thinking – Steve Austin and Vince, oh and Mike Tyson, these guys are going to kick the hell out of WCW.”

Eric Bischoff didn’t take too kindly to Bret’s claim, as he later shot down Bret Hart’s story.

Bischoff took things one step further by saying that he thinks Bret needs a dementia check.
