edge

Last year Edge shocked the world when he returned to the ring at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, and this year he managed to win the Royal Rumble match secure a title shot on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

For the first time ever WrestleMania will be streaming via Peacock, and the Peacock streaming service has been a hot topic in the world of wrestling lately because fans have noticed that controversial moments are being edited out of WWE Network content.

Edge’s live sex celebration with Lita certainly falls into the controversial category, but during a recent interview with Sports Illustrated the Rated R Superstar noted that he doesn’t really think about whether or not it will be censored.

“You know, I don’t really think about it! To be honest I think it’s just one of those I just think I kind of erased. I don’t put a whole lot of thought into it to be honest. But I guess if you’re looking at it from the terms of, it’s a TV show, right, so you go “OK. Well, if you look at a movie, there’s sex scenes.” I was on Vikings, and Vikings is going to be on Peacock as of today, my character beheaded people and put their heads on spikes. Didn’t really! But I also didn’t really have sex in the wrestling ring. So I think that’s a confusing thing with wrestling. For some reason it gets put into a different category than another production. I’ve never fully grasped that, but I don’t think anybody ever fully grasps where do you put it?”

Peacock is said to be reviewing 17,000 hours of WWE Network content, so it will be interesting to see what else gets removed in the coming weeks.

Stay tuned for updates.
