This week on Raw, the buildup to Survivor Series began in epic fashion when Shane McMahon led SmackDown Live’s roster in an invasion of Raw, with General Manager Kurt Angle unable to do anything but watch these events transpire.

Whilst the invasion itself was a shock, many of the WWE Universe pointed out the fact that SmackDown stars both heels and faces were working together like they were friends, including both Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler who are embroiled in a feud on SmackDown Live right now.

A fan decided to ask Ziggler all about this when he commented on the fact that these wrestlers hate each other but are now being seen as friends and Ziggler had the perfect response.

It seems that like many rivalries in WWE, this one was about people who don’t necessarily like each other coming together because they have a common enemy. Ziggler explains quite well that SmackDown Live was just coming together to prove that they are the better brand and it was nice for him to be able to find more victims who use “smoke and mirrors” to fool the fans, something that he is completely against.

Monday Night Raw didn’t decide to retaliate last night, instead it seems that the flagship show is playing the long game, but they will respond to the attack before Survivor Series in just three weeks time, so it will be interesting to see if the SmackDown roster work together in the same way when they’re on the receiving end of an attack.
