Daniel Bryan is a WWE veteran at this point in his career, and he’s been able to achieve massive success. Bryan has captured the WWE Championship several times, and he’s also worked with some of the biggest names in the business.

The former champion has made it clear that his days as a full time wrestler are numbered, and during a recent interview with Sporting News he was asked about potential stars who could carry the company moving forward.

Daniel Bryan named current WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E, who he says would have a bigger role if he was in charge.

“It’s hard, but that person would be Big E. He’s such a good talker, wrestler and so charismatic. He’s still in his early 30s, he looks the part, he can be funny or scary or everything in between. If I were in charge, he would have a bigger role. One of the things with wrestling is that you don’t know if somebody is going to succeed in the main event spot until you put them in the main event spot. You never know until they have that opportunity.”

Big E will defend his Intercontinental Championship tonight at WrestleMania 37 against Apollo Crews in a Nigerian Drum Match. Daniel Bryan will compete in the Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns and Edge.

Stay tuned for updates.
