corey graves

When Corey Graves took an announcer position in WWE it was because they didn’t want him to be at risk of injury. But it looks like as hard as they might try to stay out of the line of fire, it just didn’t work out for him this week on SmackDown Live.

Corey Graves was once a competitor in NXT and had to retire extremely early in his career as a pro wrestler due to concussions. But he soon rose from the ashes to become a commentator on both Raw and SmackDown Live. Graves has overcome a lot which is why he deserves a ton of props. But as he continues on a weekly basis you still never know what can happen in WWE and Graves is certainly learning that fact.

When Big E came down for his match this week on SmackDown Live where he took on The Miz, Graves got a face full of New Day jacket as Big E slung his entrance attire at The Savior Of Misbehavior. But it turns out Big E accidentally created more damage than he intended because his jacket caused items to be knocked around the announce table including a very sharp pencil that apparently found its way into Corey Graves’ hand.

Graves showed off his battle wound in an Instagram post and he didn’t seem too happy about it. But it’s all good because he seemed to get back at Big E in a pretty epic way by posting a picture of E that he might not want to get around. Then again with the way Big E shakes his booty on a nightly basis, there probably isn’t much shame left to be had except for what he throws at other people.

Let’s hope Big E can watch where he’s tossing his jacket from now on and if anything, maybe Corey Graves will keep a closer eye on things because you never know what can happen when you’re at ringside on Tuesday nights.
