CM Punk is no longer an active wrestler, but during his time in the squared circle he faced off against some of the biggest names in the business, including The Great One himself, The Rock.
Earlier this week it was announced that The Rock’s daughter, Simone Johnson, has signed with WWE and she has a chance to become the first ever fourth generation Superstar in the history of the company.
Simone Johnson’s signing was a hot topic on WWE Backstage this week, and the former WWE Champion noted that Charlotte Flair is probably the only one that Simone will be able to relate to.
“The only person I think Simone Johnson can relate to is you. Somebody who is the daughter of a living legend, that comes in, now she’s signed to NXT, and I think you could be a tremendous help to her. So, if you had any advice to her, what would you say?”
Charlotte Flair did have some advice for Simone, and she also warned her that it’s not going to be easy.
“It’s not easy. A lot of people are gonna think it’s easy, and in some ways it is easier, like, you grew up around the business, people know your dad, they know your family. But there comes a lot of criticism and do I trust him?, do I trust her?, favoritism, not favoritism, is my dad coming too the how? It’s a lot, and you just have to block out the noise, and stay true to you, and you have to work twice as hard, and you can never take anything for granted.”
